Public data and methodology
How OSRS TCG Tools works
This is a technical record of the data and original evaluation work behind the collection, quest, skilling, combat-gear, and attackable-NPC tools. The public datasets are linked below so the scope can be inspected directly.
Current public scope
The site evaluates thousands of structured records
The collection catalogue also retains 2,006 legacy beta display records so migrated copies remain visible without being presented as V1 pack pulls. These are not article word counts or decorative examples. They are maintained records used by the live tools.
Inspectable records
Public datasets used by the tools
Each link opens the actual machine-readable data served by this website. The files are intentionally detailed because a readiness result must be reproducible and correctable.
The current Combat Gear file alone contains 1,443 entries matched to an existing card and 496 entries identified as having no current card. Its reviewed acquisition layer records 479 monster-drop, 722 shop, 62 ground-spawn, 59 quest-reward, 169 minigame or activity, 39 raid, and 442 player-made routes. An item can have more than one route.
Original evaluation
How a personalized result is calculated
- Read the player.Wise Old Man supplies public skill levels and WikiSync supplies completed quests. Missing or unverifiable progress stays visibly blocked instead of being guessed.
- Read the binder safely.A RuneLite
tcg.saveor JSON file is decoded in the browser. A visitor can instead request an already-public official Solo or group collection by IGN; this site stores only a normalized snapshot and enforces a 15-minute refresh cooldown. - Apply the tool's reviewed rules.Quest Readiness checks 203 quest records. Skill Access checks 1,253 standard calculator methods plus supported Bronzeman settings. Combat Gear checks 1,939 practical equipment entries. What Can I Fight? evaluates 2,052 practical, directly lootable Attack-action variants after removing reviewed quest-only, alternate-mode, and no-direct-loot noise, applies reviewed quest/area/Sailing gates, then groups them into 873 NPC names.
- Keep ownership honest.A personally owned card, a universal whitelist entry, and a card held by a GIM teammate are displayed separately. A possible trade never silently becomes personal ownership.
- Explain the answer. Results identify missing cards, levels, prerequisite quests, source-review blockers, known Bronzeman gaps, and the teammate holding a possible trade.
What each tool adds
The site does more than display upstream data
Collection tools
Decode RuneLite collection saves, search all card records, preserve owner-specific editing, create public read-only collections, combine up to five GIM binders, and identify wishlist trade matches.
Open GIM CollectionQuest Readiness
Combines player progress with reviewed Quest Helper and Wiki evidence, exact card requirements, first-step verification, rewards, NPC audit findings, and documented bypass warnings.
Open Quest ReadinessSkill Access
Maps RuneLite calculator actions to Bronzeman filters, cards, usable tool levels, quests, whitelists, GIM trades, and separately labelled current-plugin omissions across fourteen skills.
Open Skill AccessCombat Gear
Builds a practical equipment catalogue from Wiki tables and item pages, then evaluates combat levels, quest access, exact card status, acquisition routes, bonuses, and GIM availability.
Open Combat GearWhat Can I Fight?
Joins current cache Attack actions to Wiki monster statistics, evaluates each variant against Monster cards, whitelist, Slayer level, reviewed quest and area access, and current Sailing gates, then groups equal NPC names. Raids are excluded by default.
Open Fight FinderPack Odds
Combines the current V1 pack catalogue with the final public beta pull algorithm to estimate per-pack chance and average credits. The page labels the result as an estimate because the V1 server algorithm is not public.

Sources are pinned and uncertainty remains visible
Source facts, runtime observations, and site policy are kept separate. Wiki facts are stored with revision IDs. RuneLite, Quest Helper, and Bronzeman behavior is tied to exact source revisions. The current Bronzeman 0.3.2 release was checked against the 0.3.1 gameplay-rule baseline; its node, recipe, and quest-rule files are unchanged. Older quest-NPC and item-route audits keep their original evidence pins instead of being presented as a new exhaustive audit. If an interaction cannot be verified safely, the beta reports that it still needs source review instead of inventing an answer.

A separate cache review covered 33 current ground-action rows for Bury, Crush, Eat-from, Lay, and Light. It found 26 current-card rows representing 24 distinct card names; seven no-card rows are retained for future catalogue changes rather than shown as current player requirements.

Why I built it
An independent companion for an actual playthrough
I built OSRS TCG Tools to help with my own Bronzeman playthrough and GIM. When a rule is unclear, I review the source, compare it with the game and Wiki, document what I can prove, and keep unresolved cases visible. I am not affiliated with Jagex, RuneLite, OSRS TCG, Bronzeman TCG, Quest Helper, Wise Old Man, or the Old School RuneScape Wiki. Read the project background and editorial principles.
